Trying to paint the wind 3

Put a display of landscape paintings up at Emmaus Mossley this week. Was disappointed really .. didn't like them on the dark grey....hadn't minded them up in the Art lounge. By Friday though I had altered them slightly and introduced a couples of old ones. The displays there are a little bit repetative and that's because I keep painting the same sized paintings...try some different sized ones ......

These were the paintings in the Art lounge and also at Emmaus. Must remember to try the work on the dark wall before taking it to Emmaus...the dark grey, which I love as a colour, just seemed to take all the colour out of the paintings. Try again

Tried this morning to get the wind down on canvas...32 inches square...don't normally like canvas at all because my painting process is too heavy...but liked the prettiness of this one...a tapestry of wind currents maybe...is there such a thing as a wind current even ?

Going to have a fun afternoon painting wind in a few different sizes. Done lots of research it's week and it's really interesting to see that artists often paint,' still,' landscapes.....lie the work of Carlos San Milan though.....

No. 1 it seems heavy but it has qualities. It seems about colour....

Took a time to get here but like it now....need to simplify it....

Lost the wind a bit...need to bring it back to landscape colours....

The wind picks up the colour of the trees

Love this one....

This one May die as it dries....

Try again...

Words to do with winds....
Currents
Countercurrents
Circular patterns of moving
Concentrated areas of winds
Horizontal currents
Verticals currents
Energy
Convectional currents
Hot air rises, cool air sinks bringing about spatial differences in atmospheric pressure

Love the paint !

Maybe managed it....can't wait to have done the nine...
